A gas leak can be a dangerous thing. This gas line was completely corroded underground and could have caused a big problem. Luckily the owner called the gas company for a gas smell in the air. The gas company shut off the meter and told the owner to call a licensed plumber to come out and locate the leak and repair the pipe. We located the leak and dug down to find this. The pipe was half gone and gas had been pouring into the ground for some time. We did the necessary repairs and tested the system and there were no other leaks. The gas company came back out and turned back on the gas.
